Office of Professional Studies and Experiential Learning (OPSEL)
PDP offers for-credit courses and free workshops in essential skill sets such as ethics, leadership, mentoring, teaching, presenting, team building, writing, and publishing, with the opportunity to earn professional certificates.
Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching, and Learning
CIRTL offers teaching and learning resources, courses, workshops, and webinars for developing faculty in the sciences. Resources are open to faculty, staff, students, and postdoctoral trainees.
Graduate Biomedical Student Outreach
GBSO is a student organization comprised of two representatives from each of the eight GBS themes. They organize a variety of events for students, including professional development opportunities such as an annual research symposium and F-grant workshop.
Graduate Career Awareness and Trends
GCAT is a student-led organization whose mission is to increase knowledge of career opportunities for graduate students in the sciences, math, medical, and engineering fields. GCAT hosts a monthly seminar series as well as an annual Career Development Workshop covering a wide range of fields including biotech/industry, non-profit, federal agencies and military research, etc.
Center for Clinical and Translational Science
CCTS offers a variety of training and resources designed to help students develop the skills and knowledge to think "translationally" about their science. Offerings include mock grant reviews, case studies in mentoring, drop-in clinics, and more.
