UAB to host 2026 SNS Annual Meeting

The Society of Neurological Surgeons (SNS) Annual Meeting will be held at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2026.
The SNS Annual Meeting program contains sessions built around educator development, growth through collaboration and the expansion of neurosurgery through research and innovation.
The UAB Department of Neurosurgery comprises a number of SNS members, including James Markert, M.D., MPH, Mark Hadley, M.D., Jerry Oakes, M.D., and Curtis Rozzelle, M.D.
The Society was originally founded in 1920 by Harvey Cushing, making it the oldest neurosurgical society in the world. Today, the SNS is composed of academic department chairs, residency program directors and key educational leaders. Membership of the SNS is limited to 220 active members, with senior and honorary members filling the remainder of the Society.
