UAB Orthopaedic Oncology is one of the busiest centers in the Southeast for the diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant bone and soft tissue tumors. We employ cutting edge techniques and prosthetic devices to maximize functional outcomes and the patient's quality of life. All patients are discussed by a multispecialty group of specialists, radiologists, pathologists, oncologists and surgeons, that meet regularly to formulate a diagnostic and treatment plan on an individualized basis. Our center has performed hundreds of successful limb salvage surgeries using the most advanced orthopaedic implants available.
