The section of Pediatric Orthopaedics provides comprehensive care to patients from birth through 18 years of age. We provide a wide range of services, including the treatment of scoliosis and other spinal problems, pediatric fracture care, correction of deformities and treatment of neuromuscular conditions.

We are housed at Children's of Alabama, the state's only free standing children's hospital, boasting 380 inpatient beds and 18 state-of-the-art operating rooms. The surgeons hold daily clinics at two locations: the main campus and Children's South, located conveniently on the 459 loop south of the city.

Our surgeons work closely with many other pediatric sub-specialists to provide comprehensive multidisciplinary care in several areas, including spina bifida, cerebral palsy, limb deficiency, spasticity, brachial plexus and metabolic bone diseases. We also provide 24-hour emergency room coverage.

The physicians of the Pediatric Orthopaedic service provide many unique services not available elsewhere in the state. These include limb lengthening, reconstruction of brachial plexus birth injury, computer guided navigation for scoliosis surgery, and is one of the few centers in the Southeast providing specialized cast treatment for infantile scoliosis.
