Biography

Dr. Dabal is a Professor of Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Chief of the Section of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery. His major research interests are in the areas of quality improvement and clinical outcomes research including improving surgical care to decrease morbidity following neonatal cardiac surgery. Dr. Dabal is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Surgeons, Society of Thoracic Surgeons, International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation, Southern Thoracic Surgical Association, Jefferson County Medical Society and the Medical Association of the State of Alabama.
