Biography

Yong Tan, M.D., joined the UAB Department of Surgery in September 2024. He earned his medical degree at the University of Florida. Tan completed general surgery residency at the University of South Alabama, where he also served as a surgical research fellow. He also completed a cardiothoracic surgery residency at the University of Texas Southwestern.
