Four bed labs featuring 30 beds provide a safe and immersive environment for nursing students to hone their skills before entering the clinical setting. Each lab is designed to mimic a real hospital room, complete with working headwalls and functioning equipment like IV pumps.

Students gain invaluable hands-on experience in a multitude of areas, including:

  • Mastering Fundamentals: Students practice assisting patients with essential daily activities like bathing, dressing, and eating, ensuring they can deliver compassionate and efficient care from the very beginning.
  • Sharpening Clinical Skills: Students hone essential clinical skills such as taking vital signs accurately, administering medications through various routes, and performing aseptic dressing changes.
  • Building Emergency Response Confidence: Students, through repetitive practice under pressure, develop muscle memory and critical thinking skills to identify and respond swiftly to life-threatening situations.
  • Fostering Communication and Teamwork: Students participate in interactive scenarios designed to involve active listening, clear communication, and effective delegation to prepare students for the collaborative nature of healthcare, where teamwork is paramount in ensuring patient safety and positive outcomes.
