The Nursing Skills Lab in honor of Joy P Harbert fosters a safe and realistic environment where students can develop and refine their clinical skills under the watchful eye of experienced faculty and graduate teaching assistants. This translates directly to confident patient care, preparing students to seamlessly transition into the clinical setting.

This open practice lab boasts a vast array of medical inventory items, transforming it into a comprehensive learning experience. Students gain practical experience in a multitude of procedures, including medication administration, IV pump management, catheter insertion and removal, NG tube placement, wound care, EKG placement, and lab sample collection.
