Sanctions
If a Responding Party is found responsible for a violation(s) of the Code, a sanction(s) will be imposed. Compelling factors that may affect the severity of the sanction(s) include, but are not limited to, the Responding Party’s demonstrated understanding of their responsibility and level of accountability; the conduct history of the Responding Party; the nature of the incident and the facts and circumstances related to the case; the severity of any damage, injury, or harm resulting from the incident; the level of disruption to normal University operations and activities; or whether the incident was motivated by bias based upon race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, national origin, disability unrelated to program performance, veteran status, or genetic or family medical history.
Additional information about Sanctions, including the various types of sanctions, can be found in Section VI. of the Student Conduct Code.
