Civil engineers are involved in the planning, design, and construction of buildings, bridges, roads, as well as the evaluation of their operational performance. The Civil Engineering undergraduate program focuses on structural, environmental, transportation, and construction engineering management. We offer:
- a major in Civil Engineering (B.S.)
- a minor in Civil Engineering
- an honors program
- a teaching option
- a five-year master's degree fast track program (M.S.)
The Civil Engineering B.S. degree program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.
Research and Hands-on Learning
We strongly encourages our students to participate in experiential learning opportunities, such as industry co-ops, engineering internships, and research with faculty members. These programs can enhance your education and provide the real-world experience employers look for after graduation. A unique feature of our program is that we encourage study abroad opportunities that allow you to complete coursework overseas while broadening your international and cultural experiences.
