Minors
Civil Engineering touches all aspects of society. Civil engineers design the structures we live in, the transportation facilities we travel on, the systems that bring us clean water, electricity, and energy, and carry away and dispose of our waste. Increasingly, civil engineers are being asked to design integrated communities that improve the health of their residents while minimizing their impacts on the environment and limited energy resources. In this capacity, civil engineers work hand-in-hand with city administrators, public health officials, urban planners, architects, and environmentalists.
If you are pursuing one of these fields you should consider a minor in civil engineering, which will allow you to work with engineers to develop solutions to modern societal challenges. The CCEE Department offers minors in:
- Civil Engineering
- Environmental Engineering
