Our team of 90 faculty includes national experts in a wide range of anatomic and clinical pathology subspecialties, providing state-of-the-art clinical services across our 7 divisions and throughout the state, in our Community Pathology Practice Program.

We offer innovative training in the form of AP/CP residency, fellowship and post-graduate training programs that are among the finest in the country.

Our annual extramurally-funded research portfolio continues to earn us a spot in the top 10 among all pathology departments in the U.S. from the prestigious Blue Ridge Rankings. We are excited to highlight the growth of our offerings in molecular and genetic diagnostics, including the creation of several new assays.

We hope to continue the momentum we’ve generated and the reputation built by generations of career scientists, doctors, and educators here at UAB this year and for years to come.
