Blazers Bounce Back Canvas Course
Beginning in the spring of 2021, every enrolled UAB student is assigned the Blazers Bounce Back Resiliency Course in Canvas.

How to participate:
- Student Self-Help:All students are automatically enrolled in the course. The course is focused on stress management, resiliency skills, and the support services available to you at UAB. The course should appear in your Canvas dashboard. Blazers Bounce Back eCourse

QPR
QPR Suicide Gatekeeper Certification equips participants with a practical intervention model that can be used to provide life-saving crisis support to students who may be considering suicide.

Blazers Bounce Back Live Workshop
Resilience is the ability to bounce back from setbacks, challenges, and difficult situations. Through learning the ABCs of bouncing Back, this interactive workshops provides participants with tools and a framework to build and grow personal resilience.
This workshop is designed for students.
This workshop may be available through Zoom by request during COVID-19 operating plans.

Control the Controllables
In his interactive presentation the facilitator engages in conversation with students focusing on the multiple and unique aspects of college life that can significantly influence overall wellbeing and college success. Best practices for wellness are identified and explored with students. An interactive mindfulness meditation experience can be included as part of this program with extended time.

Mental Health Matters: Foundations
This introductory workshop will provide participants with basic information to help better understand and support mental health for our students and our campus. Topics include information about the prevalence of mental health concerns and its impact students, recognizing students in distress, and learn strategies and resources for supporting students with mental health concerns.

Mental Health Awareness Month 2023
Graduate Resilience Outreach and Wellness (GROW) invites you to participate in Mental Health Awareness Month. Join us for our Wellness Wednesdays all month for learning, storytelling, and community building.
Mental Health First Aid
Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among adults. Attendees will learn common signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges, how to interact
with a person in crisis, and connect them with help, and additional information on trauma, substance use, and self-care.
After completing a 2-hour, self-paced online course, attendees participate in a 5- to 6-hour Instructor-led training in person. This can occur over 1-2 days, depending on the needs of the audience.
