Meetings hosted by the mentor for mentees. These 1-on-1 meetings are casual in nature and serve as a relationship building tool to ensure mentees feel supported and connected within their UAB experience. The advisor will provide the mentors with prompts and resources for discussing relevant topics for the month in which the meeting is being held.

Meetings hosted by the advisor to support mentors in preparing for mentee engagement. These meetings serve as a collective space for troubleshooting, sharing experiences, and planning First Blazer experiences.

Events outside of mentee meetings that offer First Blazers a chance to build community with one another, participate in on-campus happenings, and/or engage with UAB resources and organizations. Mentees will be notified of small group events by the mentor team. Mentees are encouraged to attend at least two small group events—one in the fall semester and one in the spring semester.
