Xi Li is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She completed her Ph.D. in Computer Science at Penn State University, with a dissertation on poisoning attacks and defenses against deep neural networks. Her primary research interests focus on developing trustworthy and reliable AI systems to advance technology and address social challenges. She aims to ensure robustness, privacy, fairness, and interpretability of AI when applied across various domains.
Her work has contributed to several publications in prestigious conferences such as ICCV, AAAI, and ICASSP, and in journals like IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering (TKDE). She frequently serves as a reviewer for various academic conferences and journals, including NeurIPS, CVPR, KDD, and Computers and Security (C&S).
