The Civitan-Sparks Clinics provide evaluation and diagnostic services for developmental, behavioral, and genetic disorders. The Clinics use an effective multidisciplinary approach in which a team of specialists evaluates each child based on information provided through the intake form and telephone interviews. In addition to the services available at 930 20th Street South, which is our UAB campus location , the Civitan-Sparks Clinics have programs out in the community.
As the Civitan-Sparks Clinics prepares to celebrate 45 years of commitment to Alabama and the region we will continue to work towards providing outstanding programs that utilize state of the art evaluation and diagnostic tools and evidence based practice. At this time, we would like to provide resources and information concerning COVID-19.
The Civitan-Sparks Clinics are an integral component of the Alabama University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD). The Clinics are the home of the Maternal and Child Health Bureau's Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities training program (LEND). We provide clinical training for many disciplines such as dental, social work, audiology, psychology, occupational therapy, speech/language pathology, nutrition, nursing, family, self advocacy and others.
Information about UAB Civitan-Sparks Clinics staff, appointments, clinics, programs and training is provided throughout this website. You may download our current brochure here.
