Who should complete this course?
Are you responsible for shipping, handling, or offering transport for samples considered Infectious Substances, Category A? If so, per the Hazardous Materials Regulation, it is required to complete this training course every two years (or if regulations change). Failure to properly pack and ship materials is a violation of the law and is punishable with fines or imprisonment. A copy of the completed training certificate must be maintained in the laboratory files and presented to the proper authorities upon request.
Registration: If you are a UAB Campus Employee, go to the Campus Learning System to complete this training course. If you are an Academic Student, UAB Hospital, or UAB Medicine, follow these registration instructions.
