The goal of this course is to prepare prospective Licensees and Alternates to assume responsibility and oversight of a UAB Radiation Materials License. This training course does have a re-requisite. You must either complete either the Radiation Safety Initial Training Sessions (RS102).
This course is blended. It has two parts:
- Part One: Online Module and Assessment
- Part Two: Onsite Interview with Radiation Safety Program and Licensee/Alternate

After this course, the participant should be able to:
- Apply for, obtain, and maintain a UAB Radioactive Materials License
- Recognize and fulfill your responsibilities as a Licensee or Alternate
- Train your Alternate if one is named.
- Train your staff to follow the guidelines outlined in the License and by the Radiation Safety Program
