Research and Teaching Interests: The science of biocompatibility for the biomaterials and biomechanics of surgical implants

Dr. Lemons is University Professor Emeritus in the Schools of Engineering, Medicine, and Dentistry. He has spent over 50 years mentoring and chairing more than 300 student theses and dissertations, leading to more than 600 publications. His research activities include interactions supporting in vitro and in vivo research for medical and dental implants.
