ELNEC

 

As part of the educational mission of the Center for Palliative and Supportive Care, the End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) curriculum is offered through the UAB Center for Palliative and Supportive Care. The curriculum is designed to advance end-of-life nursing care, but can be beneficial to other disciplines as well, such as social workers and chaplains.

Curriculum

Nine modules which include topics on nursing care at end of life, preparation and care at time of death, pain management, ethical/legal issues, cultural considerations, communication, symptom management, quality of care and grief, loss and bereavement. The modules are presented by members of the UAB Center staff and the School of Nursing who are certified trainers in the ELNEC curriculum.

Workshop Fees

$100 - Nurses, social workers, chaplains, and interdisciplinary team members
$50 – Students
Early bird discount of 10% by March 31, 2025.
CE and CEU credits will be available.
