UAB Ambassadors
The UAB Ambassador Program, founded in 1978, is the University’s oldest student leadership opportunity. This group of dedicated students is committed to serving the University as the official hosts and hostesses at recognized University activities and events. Ambassadors collectively give more than 1,000 hours of service to various campus departments throughout the year and have established a respected reputation of integrity, service, and tradition.
This group of student leaders can be seen greeting patrons at the Alys Stephens Center, hosting dignitaries at University receptions, leading campus tours for prospective faculty, welcoming families at commencement ceremonies, ushering visitors into the UAB Alumni House, and serving the University through dozens of other unique assignments.
The UAB Ambassador Program is coordinated through The Office of Student Involvement and Leadership and is designed to assist each Ambassador in maximizing their personal, social, and professional growth.
