We’re excited to welcome Erica Scott to UAB Advancement. Erica is joining us as Project Administrator for Heersink School of Medicine’s Constituent Engagement. In this role, she will coordinate administrative, personnel and logistical support for ongoing department projects, assist in scheduling, and create meeting agendas and materials.

We are excited to share that Lee O’Neil has been promoted to Senior Director of Advancement Operations Support for the newly formed Advancement Operations Support (AOS) team.

Joining UAB Advancement as a Director of Development for the Heersink School of Medicine is Kristy Henry.

We are pleased to share that Joyner Crane's title is now Assistant Director of Gift Administration and Data in the Office of Donor Relations. This title more accurately reflects his significant contributions and responsibilities within the Donor Relations and Engagement team.

We are excited to share that Morgan Meadows has recently accepted the position of Director of Development for the School of Public Health. Since joining UAB Advancement in 2021, Morgan has served in development roles for the UAB School of Nursing and the UAB Regional Giving program.

Congratulations to Taylor Mitchell who has recently been promoted to University Events Specialist Lead for the UAB Heersink School of Medicine.

We’re excited to welcome Kimberly Burnett to UAB Advancement as Director of Gift and Biographical Records. In this role, Kimberly will lead the Gift and Biographical Records team in coordinating the maintenance and recording of all gifts and biographical information to better serve our donors and help equip our Development Officers in fundraising.

We’re excited to welcome Drew Hoisington to UAB Advancement as Assistant Manager of Annual Giving for Athletics. In this role, Drew will manage a portfolio of 200 donors while assisting in retention and growth of the UAB Athletics Annual Fund.

We’re so excited to welcome Megan Muzer to UAB Advancement as a Regional Giving Specialist. In this role, she will build relationships with UAB Alumni across the region with the goal of connecting them to the university and highlighting ways to give to UAB.

We’re excited to welcome Matthew Porter to UAB Advancement as a Project Manager II to the Office of the Provost and Office of Student Affairs. In this role, Matthew will work on special projects, identify giving opportunities and potential donor groups and help track constituent engagement.

Congratulations to Tori Akins who recently accepted the position of Assistant Manager for the Grateful Patient Program. As Grateful Patient Assistant Manager, Tori will provide development officers with quality grateful patient suspects and manage pre-qualification moves for the Grateful Patient Program. She will also assist in key performance indicator reporting.
