The University of Alabama at Birmingham’s James Markert, M.D., MPH, James Garber Galbraith Endowed Chair of Neurosurgery and Department of Neurosurgery professor, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS).

Tekedereli earned his medical degree and completed his residency in medical genetics in Turkey before relocating to Houston, TX, where he completed his postdoctoral training at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
