Mentor: Dr. Renato Camata
I first came to UAB for an undergraduate summer research program. I worked with Dr. Camata growing superconducting iron selenide thin films using pulsed laser deposition. This experience convinced me to apply for graduate school and, in 2023, I returned to UAB to continue my research with Dr. Camata. We are currently studying the effects of inert gas on the growth and physical properties of iron selenide films. We are also studying the disruption of the superconductivity due to oxidation.
