Mentor: Dr. Aaron Catledge
I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in physics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). My area of focus is high-entropy carbides (HECs), which have impressive properties, including high hardness, a high melting point, and excellent corrosion resistance. Before starting my Ph.D. program I was an instructor at the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan. In this role, I taught applied physics courses and led undergraduate physics labs. Additionally, I served as a research assistant at the Physics Laboratory, also known as PhysLab. At PhysLab, I participated in the technology development project, where I designed a few physics experiments and contributed to testing, troubleshooting, and writing technical manuals for research-grade instruments.
I hold an M.S. degree from the Lahore University of Management Sciences and a B.S. in physics from Bahauddin Zakariya University, both located in Pakistan. In my free time, I enjoy repairing electronic devices and programming. For more information about me, you can visit my blog.
