Overview: The UAB Department of Environmental Health & Safety's (EH&S) Radiation Safety Program (RSP) staff stands ready to assist in radiological emergency services throughout the UAB community. The RSP has trained staff that serve and rotate on-call response 24 Hours per day.  Additional local and state support can be called upon if needed.

Preparedness training includes, but is not limited to joint training opportunities with local first responders and annual table-top drills and live exercises.
