GL Account Alias

The Oracle GL Account Alias uniquely identifies an active GL account string. Throughout the GL application, you are able to search for the appropriate account string. In many of these places, you will be able to enter an account alias instead of typing in an entire account string.

For income statements, the GL Account Alias is comprised of the ACCT segment value plus the SUB segment value.

Income Statement Sample Alias: 2100684.000

For balance sheets, the GL Account Alias is comprised of the BAL segment value plus the ORG segment.

Balance Sheet Sample Alias: 213333333.000000001
