The UAB Department of Orthopaedic Surgery Oncology Section aims to push the frontiers of cancer research knowledge for musculoskeletal oncology.

Our fellowship-trained Oncology Section faculty work with the UAB O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center to offer cutting-edge techniques and prosthetic devices to maximize functional outcomes and the patient's quality of life. The center has performed hundreds of successful limb salvage surgeries using the most advanced orthopaedic implants available.

Our section faculty’s research aims to support these clinical endeavors, improving orthopaedic surgical oncology procedures for patients across the nation.
