The UAB General Surgery Residency organized its first multi-institutional mock orals for chief residents in preparation for their general surgery certifying examination.

Six Department of Surgery faculty and staff were honored at the annual UAB Service Awards. which honors employees who have made a substantial career commitment to UAB. The program was designed to acknowledge and illustrate gratitude to employees at each five-year milestone of service to UAB.
