Kay Simon’s hard work and dedication has been recognized through her recent promotion from director of University Events to executive director of University Events. Vice President for Advancement Tom Brannan described Simon’s leadership of the Events team as nothing short of outstanding.

 After serving as development coordinator for the Heersink School of Medicine since 2019, Bethany Reeves is now an assistant director of development. 

After previously serving Advancement as assistant vice president for Development, David Allen was recently promoted to associate vice President for Development.

  We are thrilled to also welcome Kiera Horton to the team! As a program director for the Heersink School of Medicine, she will direct the operations of the Heersink School of Medicine’s Advancement team and alumni office.

 Also joining UAB Advancement is Tanesha Derico, who will be a project coordinator for the School of Health Professions. In this role, she interacts with current and potential donors so that they may achieve their philanthropic goals.

We are so excited to welcome Jamilah Constantine to UAB Advancement. She is joining us as a prospect research analyst for the Advancement Services team.
