What is UAB's Enterprise Corporate ID number?
XZ55282 –In order to receive UAB contract pricing and coverage you must provide this number when reserving a vehicle. By selecting the Reserve a Vehicle button above, this number will already be entered for you.

What payment methods does Enterprise/National accept?
UAB P-Card or Direct Bill Account Number.
*If using a UAB P-Card, the traveler must have the card present when picking up the vehicle.

How do I obtain a direct billing account number?

A UAB P-Card is required for all new direct bill accounts.

How do I make a reservation?
National and Enterprise offer online booking for UAB or through our contracted TMC. Click on Reserve a Vehicle to access the Enterprise/ National online booking site or visit the UAB Travel portal.

Will I need to show identification at the time of rental?
Yes, you will need to provide a valid driver's license.

Who is an eligible renter under UAB's contract with Enterprise/National?
The rates and discounts in this agreement apply to UAB faculty and staff on university business. Enterprise/National has agreed to extend the same rates and discounts for personal travel.
Note: Damage Waiver and Limited Liability Protection are only included with business rentals and are NOT extended to personal/leisure rentals.

Can I reserve a vehicle for a prospective employee?
Vehicle rentals for prospective employees are subject to the Prospective Employee Travel Policy and are not eligible for charges made via a direct bill account or UAB P-Card.

Is there a minimum age requirement?
Yes, renters must be 21 or older. Renters 21 to 24 years old are considered young renters. National/Enterprise waives the young renter's fee for UAB.

Is there any vehicles class restrictions?
Yes, 15-passenger vans are prohibited. 12-passenger vans rented shall be equipped with stability control (e.g. AdvanceTrac, Stabli-Trak, Roll Stability Control -RSC, Electronic Stability Program-ESP), and anti-lock brakes. University travelers are expected to rent the most economical vehicle - compact, intermediate, standard, full or economy class. SUVs, minivans, cargo vans, luxury vehicles and trucks are rarely justifiable as the most economical means of travel when you consider the total cost (higher daily rental costs and higher fuel cost due to the lower mpg rating). However, there may be legitimate UAB business reasons which are legitimate exceptions to this rule (e.g. if more than two UAB employees are traveling together) and with appropriate justification might be allowable.
