Stanhope inducted into hall of fame
University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Nursing Alumna Marcia K. Stanhope, PhD, RN, FAAN, will be inducted into the University of Kentucky (UK) College of Nursing Hall of Fame on November 10.
Stanhope, who received the UAB School of Nursing Distinguished Alumni Award in 2012, is one of five new inductees of the UK College of Nursing Hall of Fame. She is professor emeritus at the College and is the former director of Good Samaritan Nurse-Managed Center.
Established in 2006, the UK College of Nursing Hall of Fame identifies distinguished graduates and their extraordinary contributions to the nursing profession.
Stanhope earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing (PhD) from the UAB School of Nursing in 1981.
